Holiness
Holiness means you are set apart by God to live in the world and do that which He purposes for you. David is a great example of holiness. He faced off with Goliath because he trusted God. He wouldn't kill Saul because he didn't want to offend God. He repented when He made the mistakes of adultery and murder.
1 Peter 1:14-16
14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves
according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be
ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
Being sexually pure is holy. Do not let lust take over your life. Do not gaze on the flesh of any other than your spouse. Steer clear of pornography. Be honest with your spouse. Not swearing or using the Lord God's name in vain is holy. Looking on others as being better than yourself is holy. Repent quickly when you make mistakes. Pray that the Lord will search your heart and keep you holy.
Hebrews 12:14-16
14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without
which no man shall see the Lord:
15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace
of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up
trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person,
as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his
birthright.
Psalm 96:8-9
8 Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name:
bring an offering, and come into his courts.
9 O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear
before him, all the earth.
Luke 1:72-75
72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers,
and to remember his holy covenant;
73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
74 That he would grant unto us, that we being
delivered out of the hand of our enemies might
serve him without fear,
75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all
the days of our life.
1 Thessalonians 4:6-9
6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in
any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of
all such, as we also have forewarned you and
testified.
7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but
unto holiness.
8 He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man,
but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.
9 But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I
write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God
to love one another.

You are right brother @deathlyhorror! It is good to be holy because our God is a holy God. In the expect of our body we should know it is the temple of God and we should keep it pure.

We are the light of the world indeed. We are God's light shining in darkness. My pastor Gabriel Prosper always say this to us without we shining forth the light of Gods holiness in us because Christ finished work and God Holy spirit presently present in us, then no one can see God. We are the people other unbelieving men will look and have a picture of who God truly us. Truly the passage admonishes us rightly.
Without our showing forth of God holiness, others can't see God.

Here are the words of jesus: who do men say that I am. I believe the picture,revelation or knowledge of whom God is in the heart of men is really determined on how we portray our lord resident in us as. Jesus has true us in this last days make a show of his mercy and grace to the people of this world.
The world is not making this any easy especially with the access of the Internet and smartphones. You can be surfing the net and one of those sites will pop on your screens some will even redirect you.
In the world today, sex is seen as nothing. With a lot of scientists coming up with reasons why sex is good bla bla bla.
I think, only God can save us from all these. We need to know where we stand in Christ. Yes, I know sometimes, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak, but we can always do all things through Christ that strengthens us.

Yea,that's true,we should learn to live a holy life,as Christians we are holy because we are bornagain and holiness is our nature,the holy ghost lives inside of us ,it's only possible because we have been set apart by the blood of Christ ,so we should live it out for the world to see.
