Food groups for Chronic Kidney Disease focus on specific content– protein, sodium, phosphorus, and potassium content.
What Is a Renal Exchange List?
The renal exchange is a list of foods containing similar levels of protein, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, calcium and fluid. The major food group has one or more sub-groups based on the levels of sodium, potassium, phosphorus, calcium and fluid.
