Roof and gutter restoration timesteemCreated with Sketch.

Well it has been a good 6 months since we did anything major with the house so we thought it was time to give the bank account another stir up. This time round was time to restore the roof and replace all the guttering, fascias and downpipes. The existing roof tile colour was a weird mix of brown, grey and green. Very hard to establish what the actual color was. The existing guttering and downpipes were a real dirty green. Anyway, it all looked shocking and the gutters were clogged up and starting to rust out as a result of 30 odd years of neglect ( we bought the house 18 months ago).
The roof restoration process basically involved replacement of any broken/cracked tiles, high pressure clean, re-point the ridge cappings. Then everything is hit with a white primer, and then finally 2 coats of coloured roof membrane. We chose Monument for the roof colour which is a dark shade of grey.
The existing gutters were ripped off and replaced between the roof being high pressure cleaned and painted. They were replaced with brand new quad gutters and steel fascias over the existing timber fascias. The down pipes were all replaced also. The colour we went for was Monolith which once again is dark shade of grey and about as close to Monument as we could find.

Here is a few shots of the final product

The sun light made it hard to get a clear shot when i took the before photos, but still you can see the massive difference even without a clear shot.
So yep, very happy with the finished result. It makes a massive difference to street appeal. More work to come.
