About time this paper was retracted.

This paper set off much of the false hype around hydroxychloroquine early in the pandemic. One of the authors was the disgraced fraud Didier Raoult.

The study from the get-go had a number of red flags that scientists highlighted. They dropped some subjects from the treatment arm. They had different criteria for the control and treatment groups. They never got approval for the trial to begin with.

One of the authors was the editor in chief of the journal where it was published.

This is among dozens of papers of Didier Raoult that have been retracted.
