Aretha Franklin: wake will be in Detroit and open to the public

         Aretha Franklin died at 76 on Thursday morning from pancreatic cancer and her family has allowed the funeral of the musical legend to be massive.

According to TMZ, the commemoration of Aretha Franklin will take place at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit, United States, where her residence was located and which will now house the thousands of followers of the singer for two days.

The wake will be with the coffin open and will have a choir that will pay homage to the 'Queen of Soul' with various songs.
Later the funeral will be held more privately in the Greater Grace Temple, where only friends and family of Aretha Franklin will attend.

It should be noted that an exact date for the Aretha Franklin ceremony has not yet been established.

Remember that Rose Parks had a similar farewell in 2005, her body lay in repose in the museum and then the funeral was held at the Greater Grace Temple, thousands of people paid their respects on that occasion and the same is expected for Aretha Franklin.![aretha.jpeg]
