People familiar with the matter said North Korea and South Korea are negotiating
According to Reuters in Seoul, three people familiar with the South Korean government said on the 28th that as part of efforts to restore relations, North Korea and South Korea are negotiating to reopen a liaison office and hold a summit. The liaison office building was bombed by Pyongyang last year.
The report said that due to diplomatic sensitivity, these sources requested anonymity. They said that South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korea’s supreme leader Kim Jong-un have exchanged letters many times since April this year to seek ways to improve their relationship.
According to reports, these signs indicate that relations between the two countries have improved.
