RE: iOS 11 Review - iPhone 6 owners, time for an upgrade

in #review7 years ago

Great post! Thank you for sharing. 👍🏼

I love some of the new features that iOS 11 brings to our devices, and others I don’t care for much. At the moment, the biggest problem I have is things that used to work, no longer working.

I currently have beta 2 running on my iPhone 7 Plus, and I have been following this since it’s initial release. I really don’t think that this software was ready for Public Beta.

I hope things start to improve, and the power of the iPhone is restored. The iPhone 6 isn’t an old device by any stretch, and it has many years ahead of it!

Let me know how you get on with Beta 3 (when it finally arrives!)

Hey @davis3924, thank you!
Yeah, I agree this beta is very buggy at the moment. I'm facing a problem with the notifications on the lock screen. I can't open the messages bubbles, only when my phone is unlocked is when the long touch works.

Today I have the opportunity to play with an iPad Pro 10" with ios 11. It clearly takes more advantage of the new OS. The multitasking is awesome and I loved the expose like view to see the opened apps.

Right now I'm doing some tests with the new ARKit. It is amazing how easy it is to develop apps to use AR. I hope I find time to share some of my experiences with that.

As soon the new Beta releases I promised to post another review. ;)

No problem @dudutaulois!

It’s strange just how many little bugs there are. When ever I use the phone, and the call ends, the apps only appear on half the screen (the other half is black).

The other bug that’s winding me up at the moment is the fact that I cannot appear to close my running apps. It looks like they have closed, but they fire right back up again. The battery drain is terrible, because everything remains open!

If I get the chance to, I will take a recording of the bug and show you. 👍🏼

Keep up the good work, and roll on beta 3 for another great review!
