I was wondering how long it would be before someone commented on the books. Haha I love having this bookshelf in my living room. I enjoy looking at it. And I've read the majority of the books. Someday I'd like to be able to read all of the books I own. Lofty ambition! Thanks for your comment.
That's a good plan. Maybe I'll do the same. If I ever have children, I also want them to be able to read the books I did, so that's another plus of keeping a nice library.
Yeah that would be awesome. My first book was David Copperfield. The first time, my cousin read it out for me. About a year later when I could read, that was the first book that I picked up. In a way, I am happy that my cousin did not read about princess and dragons to me. I started with a book that dealt with the reality of life.
That's an interesting perspective. I think there's still something magical about escaping to another world through a book. Whether that world is like our own, or if it's completely unrealistic, books can be powerful. So I'll keep reading both. I love a good story with magic, but I like reading nonfiction, too.

Have a similar bookshelf. The difference being, I have read only a very few. I am collecting them for reading post retirement hahaha :)
