in #review7 years ago

Chito and Yuuri are two odd and inseparable girls who are still alive before the end of the civilization. Both go side by side on their Kettenkrad motorcycle, exploring the debris of that world they use to know and now was desolate after the wars;  Yuuri and Chito go in search of the scarce food and provisions, rise and rise the scattered fragments of an already extinct cities that had been built one on top of another.

This is the kind of stories that leave us 1000 questions to answer only a couple of them, however much more than knowing how humanity ended up in that way and what rules ruled that destroyed world, the history focuses on adventures, curiosity and the longings to survive of our protagonists in this apocalypse.

The art of this manga is one of its strengths points that blends perfectly with what the story is trying to make us feel. Although it gives the sensation of being a sketch that happens directly to be inked, the quality of detail and how it takes advantage of the lights is splendid, Yuu and Chito although they have correctly proportioned bodies, their heads are stylized to an MOE style that gives us that feeling of innocence and peace even before the apocalyptic and hopeless panorama of the plot.

A manga with a dialogue that lets you thinking and the adventures of Yuu and Chito shows us an after humanity when, even before the end, there can always find a ray of light and peace. This manga reminded me a little bit of one of my favorite works and what more value has in my life "Haibane renmei" perhaps for that feeling of peace even over the melancholy and sad plot; a very cute manga, I highly recommend it and if you are not much of a lucky reader for you this manga is recently being adapted to anime.
