Ric Ocasek, lead artist of The Cars, discovered dead at 75
75 Year old Ric Ocasek, lead vocalist of the new wave musical crew The Cars, kicked the bucket Sunday in New York City.
The New York Police Department got a call around 4 p.m. "for an oblivious male" at a townhouse on East nineteenth Street, the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Public Information told CNN.
Ocasek, whose personality was affirmed by police, was articulated dead at the scene.
The Cars turned out to be enormously mainstream in the late 1970s and mid 80s with hits including "My Best Friend's Girl" and "Drive."
