Rickysphotochallenge Week 8 entry - Urban by night - Fog
It was a really cold Winter at the beginning of 2012. More than three weeks temperatures were in the –20 region. After many years Danube was frozen again. Municipal authorities have cut city lights to minimum, because people were trying to get some added heating from electricity, and the grid was under the great strain. That night temperature rose sharply, and the ice vapor over the frozen river in combination with subdued lighting, created this unique and unreal sight. And special thanks to @ladyjas for waking me up for this photo, if she wasn't there I would probably overslept it 😊
Canon EOS 60D, ISO100, 18-55mm @ 55mm, 30 sec, f5.6
That photo is unreal!!! Woww stunning
Thank you @islandprincess.
Beautiful! I really appreciate the back story as well :)
Thank you very much @allforthegood, I'm very glad you like it.
Like the smiths . The light is playing. Good shot!:)
Thanks @kadri for your support.
Awesome, what is that glow exactly? It ain't that frozen river, is it? :)
The strongest glow on the right is industrial zone. Middle and left are downtown lights by the river.
But then it reflects from the clouds or something? As it looks like Aurora Borealis. Definitely captivating shot, worthy to be printed and hanged on the wall.
That is quite stunning...I'm so happy you woke up for it!
Actually @ladyjas woke me up, and she has this photo 4 feet (1.2m) wide on her wall :)
So glad you both got to see it and glad you shared this with us. Upped and steemed.
Thank you very much @melinda010100.
I like that photo very much!
Thank you very much, @rickyjrx.
Congratz, you just have been resteemed by @pixresteemer!
