Happy Eclipse Season + A little something otherworldly for you....

Alright, so I mentioned in my introduction post that I may write about my musical interests. The many varying genres this entails was my deciding factor that this would perhaps work as a decent follow up post. I’ve been tossing around the idea of making a Youtube channel sampling some of the stuff David and I have collected over the years…I know it’s been done a million times, but I’m kinda thinking “fuck-it”, if someone out there wants to check it out, great :)

I should say that I am a little picky when it comes to music. Not a snob, just a bit discerning. I generally won’t think something sucks, so much as I may find it mediocre. But that’s not to say I don’t appreciate the merit there. It’s an art form. Although, when I made reference to it being a universal language, it’s because I feel it has to speak to you. I find it deeply personal actually, but something that when shared can usually stimulate some amazing ideas, topics of discussion, whatever.

That probably sounds super cheese, but it’s truth to me.

Anyhow, on the topic of “universe”, as well as it being a partial lunar eclipse tonight, and all, I figured what better time than now to introduce (if you’re not already acquainted) one of my all-time favorites, UNIVERS ZERO

Since I don’t yet have my set-up for uploading some tracks, I’m just gonna post these couple borrowed by fellow Youtuber’s with exceptional taste ;) (I hope that’s allowed…eek!).

Uzed was the very first album I had pleasure of hearing from the Belgian pioneers of the genre “Chamber Rock”. However, it’s more often that I hear them referenced within the better recognized Rock in Opposition (RIO) movement, which includes some other heavy hitters I plan to share as I delve into our collection. But for now, I’ll stop rambling and get on with it…
