Ripple to be listed on Coinbase?

With the addition of Bitcoin Cash (BCC) on Coinbase we saw the cryptocurrency rise $5000 almost instantly and sent it to an all time new high. Ripple (XRP), a cryptocurrency that was originally for bank-to-bank transfers and is now surging looks poised to be added next to coinbase.

Coinbase has said that they plan to add more altcoins to their platform in 2018 and Ripple looks to be the most obvious choice for Coinbase to add. Should Ripple be added on Coinbase, many more investors would have access to buy into the latest trend. This could see a huge increase in the value of Ripple and its market cap. (Ripple was briefly No. 2 yesterday).

Another trend that we witnessed when Bitcoin Cash was added on Coinbase was the temporary decline in price of all the other cryptos traded on the exchange. A Ripple addition would likely see the same phenomenon as investors sell off their some of their cryptos to buy Ripple.

The addition of Bitcoin Cash was messy for Coinbase, employees were accused of insider trading and trading on the exchange had to be halted. Coinbase has not officially announced whether or when Ripple will be added to their exchange. Ripple is still relatively cheap at about $3 per coin and this means that the price doesn’t have to rise very much for some great return percentages.
