Happy New Year! This is the year of the bull market. This is the first article I'm writing for the year. All of these celebrations and dating systems are more of a consensus phenomena. There is nothing special about the 1st of January. Even a "Day" in the modern usage is not based on sunrise and sunset. Time and Date systems we have created are a mere tool to have some specificity and an ability to collaborate. I found a 7 year old article on time written by me when there was only one blockchain called STEEM.

This recap is powered by @hivecreators and there is a lot more details offered on the website where users can login with Keychain Extention and wait a short while to see the statistics. Keep in mind that the earnings values shown are Author + Curator share. The data is the same as what shows up on front ends after the payout. Upto 50% of this value goes to the author and the rest is shared among curators and beneficiaries (if there are any). My activities on HIVE mainly involve gaming and blogging. I have no interest in making video or audio content.

The Christmas Giveaway Was Extended

Originally I thought of conducting the giveaway as a part of Christmas. The original rules were as following:

• Follow Me = 2X Multiplier
• Post a Screenshot With Your Game Level = (Level/50)X Multiplier
• Be My Referral = 5X Multiplier

1,000 STARBITS for anyone (excluding bots and spam) was the base value. Then I got somewhat busy and I started seeing comments keep coming even after the end of the deadline. I decided to wait a bit more.

The STARBITS Winners

I have only managed to get 6 referrals so far in the game. None of the following users came to get their 5X Multiplier for Christmas. 4 out of them have played a fair number of Missions.

Overall 7 lucky users commented to get some STARBITS for themselves. I will stat with the best. There were only 4 users that posted a screenshot with their gameplay. I don't know if this was because their Level was low or considering the effort not worth their time. It is even possible that some users only skimmed through the content before leaving a comment.

What makes me the happiest is seeing the criteria I made end up allocating most of the STARBITS to long time players who must have spent their funds and definitely their time into playing @risingstargame for what is likely a several years. It is a pleasure to see long term players. I started playing shortly after the launch of the game and I have been a consistent player ever since. It was great to see few others who have been a part of the community.

We Should Have An Excellent Year Ahead

The chart is taken from @sentipl's blog. The drop in player count could be related to Christmas. The growth of HIVE over the past few months remind me of the old days. We are seeing massive trading volume and we even have perpetuals on many CEXs. HIVE trading volume has been even as high as 4.5X of its marketcap. These are some incredible numbers for spot trading. On top of this Dash partnership has brought in massive amount of activity into INLEO in a very short amount of time.

All of these are signs of higher levels of activity to come. DAPPs are going to have more users and more investors. We saw Tap 2 Earn become a viral phenomenon on Telegram with its millions of users. We have something that is not too different. I think we have a tremendous potential for success.
