Risk (2017) Documentary Review
So we start once the Iraq and Afghanistan War Logs are leaked.
And Sarah Harrison is here too!
So Julian and Sarah found out that their password has been compromised.
There’s a lot we didn’t know in 2011.
When it comes to the rape accusations, it was exposed that a CIA character smear is to “set up a honey trap.” Anything and everything sexual is dragged out. The CIA knows they can’t win on fact alone, so they smear their character.
Wonderful point on the internet by Applebaum!
“Internet use doesn’t deliberately help terrorists anymore roads do to help them travel.”
This woman is spooked a bit because of FBI guys came to visit her son. This is so creepy and frightening.
He’s cornered in the Ecuadorian Embassy. And they’ve been waiting each other out ever since.
Lady Gaga said,” It’s like you’re in college.”
I assure you, it’s farthest from. Cause I can go outside and do what I love. He’s stuck there.
Ed Snowden makes an appearance. How did Julian help? In a way.
Laura wont give him NSA docs, and he’s mad.
She doesn’t trust him.
Jacob Applebaum was accused of sexual assault, and we touch on the DNC.
Fuck you HRC!
You psychos know Roger Stone can’t be trusted. The lot of you in that room can’t be trusted.
Assange doesn’t want the fall out mentioned publicly.
The film in it’s current form is a threat to his freedom, he says. After hearing out his lawyer, I'd have to side with Julian on this. Also, doxing people that work for Wikileaks, or associated with Wikileaks. Fuck, if what he says is true, it's a low blow!
It still is a crazy thing to think of such an organization existing on the people's behalf. I oppose the doxing of the ICE Agents, other than that, I like that they release these items in the public interest.

Still, it's an amazing film, in true Laura Poitras fashion. Smooth propaganda, the likes of Kathryn Bigelow. If I didn't know better, I'd believe it. Still, as a film alone, I rate it $6.50/$13.50 USD, because of the accusations behind the scenes.
