Great Rock Music Who Never Won Grammy
All of us, might well known of this rock musician. But we might never knows that they were never won Grammy.
Jimi Hendrix
He was the masterpiece. Jimi Hendrix has received a Hall of Fame Grammy Awards, and also Lifetime Achievement Award. But the ironic is, the four album that had recorded all the time in his life, never won a Grammy.
Led Zeppelin
They were being a rock music patron. Influence so many musician all the time. Almost the same with Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin have won a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and Grammy Hall of Fame. But none of the album have ever won a Grammy.
Queen
Bohemian Rhapsody has got them for Guinness World Record. The album also take them to Grammy Hall of Fame. But they never won an actual Grammy Award. So many fans, asking for demand for a recount for Grammy.
Dream Theater
Dream Theater was the band that well known for technical proficiency of its instrumentalist. First formed in 1985 with the name, Majesty. This band have won many awards from music instruction magazines. Having its own genre in progressive metal, Dream Theater has sold over 12 million records. On April 9 2013, with Image and Words album, has won Loudwire's fan voted March Metal Madness, for world's best metal album. But its to bad for Dream Theater, because they never won the Grammy. They just three time nominated for Grammy Award, the Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance category. First time in 2011 with album A Dramatic Turn of Events, second time in 2013 with the album's lead single, On the Back of Angels, and the last is The Enemy Inside.
Joe Satriani
Joe Satriani is one of the most technically accomplished guitarists ever. This guy is the expert, because his level of playing in "so sick, dude." But somehow that's never been enough to sway the Recording Academy, which has consistently brought him right up to the edge of the winner's circle in rock and pop instrumental performance categories without ever letting him step inside. His cult-classic Surfing With the Alien LP and its song "Always With Me, Always With You" nabbed Satriani his first pair of no-win nominations back in '89; nearly 20 years later, he got his 15th nod for a live version of the same tune, but came up empty yet again.
Kiss
Kiss were completely ignored by Grammy voters until 1999. That's when the face-painted foursome scored their first, and so far only, nomination in Best Hard Rock Performance for "Psycho Circus." But even the most ardent members of the Kiss Army can't be too upset about who bested their heroes that year: Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, who won for "Most High."
