Rome Diamond League Preview - Canada

This Thursday is the Rome Diamond League event.

For those of you that don't know this is a series of track and field (athletics) meetings, that host a number of events, some of which are diamond events. World athletes score diamond series points by placing in diamond events to ultimately attempt at winning the diamond league final tally!
More simply put - it's the world's biggest track stars competing around the world in a lit series of events that is always jaw dropping to watch. Definitely worth following along.

Sooooo this week is Rome. In my personal opinion the 2nd hottest Diamond League event of the year behind Monaco (July 21st).
We have some big diamond events coming up, of which I'll stick to track where I have a much wider knowledge base:

• Men's 3000m Steeple Chase
• Men's 800m
• Women's 400m
• Men's 110H
• Women's 1500m
• Women's 100m
• Men's 200m
• Women's 5000m

So who's competing, more importantly, which Canadian's are making their way over in the marquee events!

• Brandon Mcbride -M800 - Past NCAA champion
  -Gabriela Stafford -W1500 - Canadian Collegiate Champion
• Andre DeGrasse - M200 - Olympic Medalist
• Bradon Rodney - M200 - sub 20 guy and NCAA standout
• Aaron Brown - M200 - NCAA standout and rounds out the third Canadian in the M200
• Andrea Seccafien - W5000 - University of Guelph Standout and cinderella Olympian

Overall it is a stacked team on the track for Canada in Rome and will be a blast to watch and follow.

Not to mention 3 of the 9 Men in the 200m, showing the depth of the sprint team internationally.
