Our event is featured in the international Hashing magazine

in #running5 days ago

This mag isn't exactly a massive production and it isn't for sale or anything but they do tend to stay on top of things that are happening globally. It was kind of nice to be featured even though as far as we know, nobody in our organization actually contacted them. There is some question as to how we found out about being featured as well but I presume it was because someone must have contacted us about being interested in participating in the upcoming Cherry Breaker.

It's called "On On" magazine and if you are not a Hasher you probably don't know that On On is what we shout when we are on trail to keep the people behind us aware of the fact that they are still traveling in the correct direction. This stems all the way back to the creation of the Hash House Harriers in Kuala Lumpur in the 1950's.

The On On magazine is a nice thing to have around because someone needs to keep track of the history of the Hash since a lot of the history seems to be re-written by whoever is telling the story. I will admit that I tend to tell people things that are not necessarily true about the Hash because it doesn't really matter and it doesn't really change anything.

There are a number of international events that are coming up on the back end of 2024 and we were kind of chuffed to find out that we were featured in there as well.

Something that is kind of funny about this magazine and it is a testament into the very loose organization of the HHH globally is that by the time that this magazine was published and made available to the world to download for free some of the events had already taken place. Oh well, as they say it is an honor just being nominated.

We are doing 3 runs per week every week so if you happen to be in the area please drop us a line or look at our website. We'd love to have you come along! On On!
