Challenge: Red Bull 400 Training Progress 🏃

in #runningproject6 years ago

Great news, I made it to the next round again! The trainer told us the news last Friday. Now I'm competing with the last 300 people for four spots! Still a chance smaller than 1% I know. But I'm still in the race! Last week was the second week of round two. We had our schedule on Tuesday and we must show our progress using our creativity, by posting a picture, a story, a video whatever you want. As long as it shows your progress and creativity. We have to deliver this proof every sunday of the week.

The schedule for the week looked like this

  • 45 min Fitness work-out
  • 45 min Run
  • 50 min Run
  • Group training (secret)

1. 45 min fitness work-out

  • Warming-up
  • 3 rounds of 7 exercises
Rest, 40 seconds active/25 sec relax
After each round a 1 minute break
  • Challenge of the week

Warming-up

Jump rope 4 x 1 min (if you don’t have a rope, just JUMP!)

Exercises

Exercise 1: Plank reach – 40 seconds

Exercise 2: Spiderman crawl – 40 seconds

Exercise 3: Push-ups – 40 seconds (if possible with a clap)

Exercise 4: Mountain Climbers – 40 seconds

Exercise 5: Armsprints – 40 seconds

Exercise 6: Side-plank – 40 seconds

Exercise 7: Bulgarian Split Squat – 40 seconds

Now you can rest for 1 minute. Repeat this round two more times.

Week challenge: How many push-ups can you do in 1 minute?

2. 45 min run

  • Warming-up for 5 minutes easy running
  • 10-12x running up the hill or stairs for 90-120 seconds. Pause is the time you need to walk back.
  • Cooling down for 12-15 min with an easy run

3. 50 min run

  • Warming up
    Knee lifting low 2x20m
    knee lifting high 2x20m
    hopping with high knees 2x20m

  • Run 10-12 x 5 minutes with 90 seconds active rest between each run

  • Cooling down with a 10 min easy run.

4. Group training (secret)

Allthough this training is actually part of the schedule after this one, I choose to add it here because I've got it tonight. We had an invitation for this "secret"group training we're gonna get with the last people standing in the group. Don't know what it's gonna be, only had the timeschedule and the location by e-mail. Only sneakpeak they gave us is there will be a fitness part and a running part in the training.

What I can tell is the location, it will be at a place called "Doornse Gat". I've added the location to the Steemitworldmap. Never been there, so new adventures waiting for me. Yeah!

My result

I created this short movie with a compilation from the results I got with the training during the week.
