Russia safer in the dollar

Russia for the third month in a row increasing portfolio of US Treasury bonds. Investments in US government bonds for the year increased by 26%. The reason is simple - low risk against the background of instability in the world economy, and at least some yield as compared to other debt securities of developed economies. Emerging markets can count on the return of investors' interest only if the crisis will be offset in the global markets.

Yields in Treasury bonds is low. Ten-year debt securities exhibit yield 1.5%, two-year and even less - 0.74%.

Amid the instability of recent years in the global economy, investors prefer to first secure attachment, even if it involves a low yield. The interest of market players continues to grow: the amount owned by foreign investors of US Treasuries in June, up from $ 6.21 trillion to $ 6.28 trillion.

The largest holder of US Treasury bonds is China. His portfolio is estimated at $ 1.241 trillion, according to the US Treasury in June.
