Should I learn Rust if I want to develop app on EOS?

Not sure if steemit can work like quora, I hope somebody answers.

As far as I know EOS daemon is written in webassembly and only C and C++ is confirm to compile to webassembly.

Maybe I'm wrong here so I would like to ask the community if Rust will compile to EOS.
