RV Life: DIY Roof Vent Covers

As part of the preparation to store the camper over summer I'm installing covers over the roof vents so that they can be left open. Our greatest worry about leaving the camper for unattended for 2 months is mold. If it molds it could be really bad and even unlivable because my wife is very sensitive to mold. Our hope is that leaving the vents open will help the air circulation and lower the risk of mold.
If we could I'd love keep to leave a dehumidifier running but we can't have power and running it off solar is not feasible. A thurrow cleaning, inside and out, plus as good ventilation as possible have to be enough.

hi, @fanstaf I know the problem of mold just too good!

I have a little trick to keep the humidity low. Just put a few socks or bowls filled with sold and rice in the areas where you are afraid of mold.

for me, it helped to keep my bathroom dry and prevent mold.

I hope it helps you.

greetings @ experimentel

Thanks for the suggestion. I parked the trailer today and now there is nothing more I can do. I just hope that what I did will be enough.

I am sure it will!
did you park the van in a shaded or in a sunny area?

Only option was in the sun. One side is shaded by a big 5th wheeler but the other side is exposed and facing south.

ah and congrats for your one year steemit.
