Galaxy S9: flagship are already testing in nature, the imminent release?

in #s97 years ago

Two variants of the Galaxy S9 with dual SIM appear to be under test, suggesting an imminent release. That would be rather a surprise, since dual-SIM variants usually come out after the mainstream version. Nevertheless this shows that Samsung is making the final adjustments on its flagship. These tests, spotted by our colleagues from WCCFtech also reveal the frequencies on which will operate the new flagship

The release of the Galaxy S9 is fast approaching. The proof ? Our colleagues from WCCFtech have just found on the website of the China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (CMIIT), an official registration database, two new flagships dual-sim, designated under the code names SM-G9600 and SM- G9650. Note: nothing officially binds these code names to Galaxy S9 and S9 +. But as our colleagues at WCCFTech say, the Galaxy S8 and S8 + were designated SM-G950 and SM-G955 which seems to follow more or less the same logic.
Galaxy S9: flagship already tested in nature, an advanced release date?
What is interesting with this entry in the database CMIIT is that we glean in passing some information on the technical sheet of future smartphones. Not a lot of things either, since this time it is compatible frequency bands. One can simply read that the device will emit and receive GSM signals, TD-SCDMA (3G standard in China), WCDMA (3G), CDMA2000 (3G), TD-LTE (4G in China), LTE FDD (4G), WLAN (WiFi) and Bluetooth. All in the frequency bands:
885-915MHz
1710-1755MHz
1880-1920MHz
2010-2025MHz
1920-1980MHz
909-915MHz
825-835MHz
1880-1920MHz
2300-2400 / 2500-2690 / 1920-1940 / 1940-1965 / 1735-1765MHz
1765-1780 / 825-835 / 909-915 / 5725-5850 / 2400-2483.5 MHz
Ironically, the only other smartphone to be approved in the Chinese Ministry's database for exactly these same frequency bands is the iPhone 8 - without anyone being able to say anything about it at the moment. hardware of the device. If we believe the habits of the Korean manufacturer, the Galaxy S9 will be presented in April or March 2017. Rumors nevertheless speak of a first presentation in January 2018 at the CES.
