Testing My Balancing Skills at the Sahara

We have an understanding... you are going to make this one hour ride, my ride of a lifetime so take it easy...have to test my balancing skills...

Erg Chebbi Dunes
One tranquil moment we had was witnessing the beginning of a new day from the crest of a dune on the edge of the Sahara, it is the most serene and reflective moment you'll ever have. Excitement sets in on the first sight of this mass of gold and the black, hot, hard Hammada at the edge of Erg Chebbi which adds to the dramatic view. As you drive a sequence of auberges (overnight) kasbah run parallel to the dunes from Erfoud all the way to Merzouga. With our Berber driver we checked out a few Kasbah and chose Nasser Palace Hotel, booked two nights with first night at the dunes, second night at the Kasbah including the camel ride to the dunes and back in the morning, dinner at the tent with Berber entertainment, breakfast, lunch at the Kasbah and an exhilarating 4x4 tour of the city of Merzouga that would keep you in a fight or flight moment. All these for 675MAD per person. It was hot inside the tents, we the visitors and staff had to sleep outside. It felt like we were all one big family, no one complained same thing at the Kasbah most air conditioning did not work so some of us slept outside the hallways.
One thing we've learned from this trip is to adjust our days plan to Moroccan time, especially when preparing meals, give them 2 to 3 hours patience and you'll be fine.
