Importance of follow up in sales
Sales requires a lot of hard work - from doing ground work about the prospects to convincing them to give you a few minutes to explain to them about how your product or service can benefit them to trying to convince them. It all requires preparation, research, thinking on your feet and good convincing power. However there is one un seemingly last step that many sales people dont think is important and this is where they loose out on sales numbers - and this last step is follow up.
Research has shown almost a 18% conversion rate when you follow up with people to whom you have pitched. Follow up does not mean just following up once and stopping at that. It means being diligent - call them again and again and be confident. You know your service or product will make their life better and with that conviction call them and see how your sales figures improve.
