My Friend's Trippin' and All I Can Think of Right Now is More Steemit!

in #satire8 years ago (edited)

Hilarious, I tell ya- about an hour ago, a close friend called me up while I was in the midst of reading yet another steemit post to tell me about the awesome trip he's having. Surprisingly enough, I didn't think he was serious about taking a trip. As a matter of fact, when he mentioned it a few days ago I thought to myself, "Nah, he's just pulling my leg. He's not really going to do that." Not that I have anything against what a free self-governing individual does with his/her own time, money or body, mind you. My thoughts weren't on those things when we spoke briefly this morning, more likely I was thinking of ways to create more content that would generate interest and how to, once again, improve writing skills, increase my exposure, build a following and increase popularity. So who has the addiction here? If your answer was, "You, silly bunny!" you'd be correct. I thought being on Facebook was bad news, boy, was I in for a treat tonight! I'm still hype off the little bit of upvotes from previous posts, and a few cents I've earned in the last few hours! The more words I write the more I feel the adrenaline rushing through my veins at maximum speed, and away we go, who knows where this ride will end?
I'm excited and enthused to see how things will progress over the next several months here at steemit, especially after seeing so many positive posts in the feed tonight. It's a good feeling to have, as I sit here at quarter to five in the morning writing out this quick post, and in the back of my mind, I'm thinking to myself, "I hope my friend is alright, I hope he's enjoying the ride and having a safe, yet enjoyable trip."

going on "trips" can enhance the ability to visualize and imagine, this is a key in magic. cool share

Thank you, @nobodyishome. I wasn't sure how this was going to come across to the reading audience here at steemit when I wrote it, but I thought, "What the heck, give it a shot anyways." I agree with your observations on those sort of "trips" playing a major factor in influencing one's creative ability which is something I had spoken to this friend about possibly pursuing his artistic interests more in depth a few days prior to this posting. I let him know afterwards that I had written about his adventure from a tongue in cheek perspective. Hopefully, we'll see more posts such as this one where people use a sense of humor. Always look for ways to enjoy what you're doing and make it fun for the readers!
