This is a quote from #satoshinakamoto when #wikileaks first started accepting #bitcoin as a workaround from #visa and #paypal and other payment processors blocking donations to wikileaks. #Satoshi was actually against Bitcoin being used in this manner as it meant that Bitcoin would be demonized and politicized negatively. Indeed that came to be true, but it was also a stepping stone for Bitcoin to show one of its many use cases as a #censorshipresistant form of money. #julianassange being arrested recently should alarm anyone who thinks #journalism should not be a crime.
