It is the first time I read about it. You wrote a long post and I still not know what it is all about.
Good you have people who were able to find the keys and know how or what. Hop in any time is very hard for every steemian this way.

Some weeks (dont remember the exact date) "someone" announced the website satoshi's treasure (see link above in post) with little info, only that there is a wallet with 1 million dollar worth of Bitcoin and you can unlock it if you solve 400 out of the 1000 keys that they created. Some are difficult keys to solve and need very specific knowledge (which I don't have lol) others are as simple as finding out what city is on a picture and then combining 45 of these first letters to 1 key. Right now its as simple as getting someone to get a key at a certain location or from an agent that is sent there at a certain time. Sometimes someone can already help by connecting us with the right people, and will also get rewarded for that with the SST coin. In the end, when we win the prize, all these coins will be bought back according to the value of the total prize.
