STEEMCHURCH: POSITIONING YOURSELF TO BE A WIFE PART 1

in #sc-n6 years ago

So many women are eager to get married but few are preparing to be a wife. You want a wedding but you aren’t prepared for marriage. Are you really ready to be a wife or are you simply ready for a wedding? Marriage starts after the wedding and honeymoon.

I want to cover two topics that will tie into this series
First topic
Have you been made whole?

Many make the mistake of looking for a man to complete them, make them whole or heal the hurt the last ones have caused. Some of us have tried to get over one by getting another one. That doesn’t work. The bible said the two shall become one. It didn’t say anything about someone completing you or making you whole because it is not their job to do so.

The biggest mistake we make is thinking that a person is able to do what only God has the ability to do. Let me make this clear, it is NOT your future husbands job to heal you of the hurt from your ex. Neither is it right for him to suffer the consequences of something they had nothing to do with! If you want to be a wife, you have to be made whole first so that you’ll be prepared to receive the love from the one God has for you!

Can you freely love this man without holding onto the hurt of past relationships? Are your walls still up in efforts to prevent yourself from being hurt again?

If you can’t freely love or put your walls down because you fear being hurt, you’re not ready to be a wife because this is evident that you still haven’t been made whole. I am not saying that you don’t use wisdom.

However, if fear is ruling you, you’re not operating in faith. You’re actually going to end up attracting the very thing that you don’t want. How is that possible? It’s possible because whatever we think about the most we give power to. If not being hurt is your primary focus that’s what you’ll attract. You’ll find yourself looking for the downfall instead of looking for the good.

To be continued..
