steemchurch: what does God think about marriage?

The Bible clearly shows us the origin of marriage, since God has given us everything that pertains to life and piety (2 Pet. 1: 3). In the Bible we have the answer to all the questions we may have. Therefore, having this in mind, I argue that marriage had its origin in the mind of God. Our Heavenly Father is the main source of marriage (James 1:17, 2:24, 2 Timothy 3:16). When we consider the biblical teaching of marriage, we realize that marriage had its origin in the beginning of creation. The Bible says, "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh" (Gen. 2:24). The marriage had its beginning at this moment in history. This text applies to everyone in general because at the time when God uttered these words, Adam and Eve had no earthly parents. Therefore, this law applies to everyone in general.

Thank God that marriage has a divine origin and not human, otherwise, things would be very sad, and tragic. Especially when we consider how many consider marriage today, given that marriage is of divine origin, the laws surrounding marriage are perfect, and for our own
benefit.

The Bible says that "man is not lord of his way, nor of the man who walks is to order his steps" (Jeremiah 10:23).

Marriage is not a Christian institution, or Jewish, but rather universal. When I say universal I am implying that marriage is for everyone, and that its laws apply to everyone in general, that is, all those who are eligible to enter into the marriage relationship. If we remember, in Genesis there were no Christians, but rather, human beings to whom the laws of marriage applied.

All men in general are bound to respect and keep the laws of God regarding marriage. When I speak of men, I am doing it in the generic sense of the word, which indicates that I am including all human beings who are qualified to enter into marriage. There are some who argue that God's laws regarding marriage apply only to Christians and not to non-Christians. The problem with this point is that those who use it make marriage a Christian institution, and not universal as it is originally. The Bible does not support such a conclusion, since the laws of God apply to everyone in general.

death separate them.

God's law regarding marriage teaches us that marriage is "until death do you part" and not when I want to end. We see this very clearly in the Word of God. Notice what Jesus said about this, "Therefore, they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined, no man should separate him "(Matthew 19: 6). In this verse our Lord Jesus Christ teaches us the duration of marriage, and such duration is "no man separates them." This indicates that man has no right to separate marriages in divorce.
