SC-V: God's love

The story of God is one of love. Loving us has been his most important mission since the beginning of creation. I will express it in the following way: to constitute the universe was not entirely satisfactory for God, but to create Man and manifest His love, was the seal of His greatest work, by the way, perfect and unmatched. But any love story between two people suggests transiting moments of pain and agony, of distance and supreme need for each other.

The certainty that God loves us is much better than even the joy of living. Life without the love of God does not reach fullness. The best news on this day is: God loves us. Yes, and he loves us in spite of us, he loves us even though we fail, we have separated or even sinned. Everything we could know about love would not be enough to understand the dimension of God's love. The love of God does not change, it remains the same, it insists, it persists and it fights against our rebellion, it covers a multitude of sins and as if that were not enough, it enables us to love others

I attracted him with strings of tenderness, I attracted him with ties of love. I removed the yoke from his neck and tenderly approached him to feed him. Hosea 11: -4

The expression "human strings" is a way of saying: with tenderness; and "with bonds of love" is nothing other than: calls of mercy and grace. His calls are similar to those of a father or mother who desperately asks his son to return to a safe area and regrets to move towards those dangerous places following the uncontrolled impulses of "curiosity".

Those insistent calls of God, today claim our lives. We belong to Him and to tell the truth, only in Him can we be sure. Why follow our own path? Why insist on forgetting God's plan? To live united to God is the supreme good of every human being and to remember that God treats us as children, embraces us and brings us closer to His face, it is enough to turn our hearts to Him.

Our memory is weak and tends to forget even the most important events. Do you remember who taught you to walk? Maybe the excitement of having achieved it made you forget who took you from your arms and accompanied you in the next step. God not only wants to be loved as God, but also as a "father" that on the many occasions in which we stumble and fall, he appears again to tell us: I am with you, try again. This is God's love for you.
