RE: How to sell Steem: Scalability

in #scalability5 years ago

Yeah 3speak really made a bad taste in my mouth. Huge flag by them no warning nothing.

Well it's ok. I'm avoiding that part of the eco system. Dtube is just fine.

But yeah selling steem? Yeah I've sold plenty of people on this place only to see the far majority of them ran off. And I've considered leaving a few times over the drama here

Would I sell it again? Not getting a huge amount of love to invest my time recruiting and holding the steemit meetups. The longest running steemit meetup...

Sort:

3speak's flag - Can I read more about this somewhere?
Also, how long have your meetups been running? We've just hit 25 consecutive months here in Adelaide.

Well dang I stand corrected. And it's been most of nearly 3 years. Recently closed it all down.

No support and no love. Pennsif listed us but yeah.

Got the steemitsmokeout on April 20th but don't think that's going to matter. Or happen for the 3rd year.

Sorry to hear it stalled. Its sometimes been difficult, during the leaner months. The energy isn't there; and our venue is really loud and dark. Great in Summer, but not much in Winter. We've had as few as 3, and as many as 24.

Yeah I've had a few but after the vegan war #1 it fell off.

And besides the rest of the platform really doesn't care about rewarding new users. So most new people just bailed.

Nice seeing you keeping it going.

I think the focus is shifting toward rewarding new developers/dapps.

Yep you can have all the development and apps but the beginning users? Seems like user retention and recruitment is lacking.

As to the flags? Long in the past but not forgotten. Looked at buying a membership to the elitist clique you asked about. Yeah I see why they pushed for people to join. Monthly fee yep. I bet.
