Seven (7) major skills necessary in Teaching

There are skills necessary for teaching or communicating knowledge. These skills are vital for anyone that want to be a good instructor. The skills of communication are relevant not just for teaching but in every day Life. The following are the skills for effective teaching and communication of knowledge.

  1. Learning: effective learning gives birth to effective communication. To be able to teach effectively one must communicate good learning skills this will help the teacher to know if the listing is I actually learning or not.

  2. Teaching aid: do use of teaching aid is very important in teaching it helps the learners to be able to assimilate easily what is being taught. Teaching aid helps to visualise the verbal communication of the teacher, the better the teaching aid; the better it is for the learners.

  3. Evaluation skills: every teacher must know how to evaluate the student correctly evolution helps to write the name of assimilation of the student it also helped to carry the listeners along. Evaluation can be in form of test assignment an examination.

  4. Lesson plan: every teacher should plan his or her lesson this plan will help this the listener or students to be taught properly. It also guys the teacher on what to really teach the student part-time in order to cover the syllabus.

  1. Discipline: discipline in term of effective time management classroom management and effective communication are keys improving teaching skills. A lot of kids are stubborn and if the teacher is not discipline it will be difficult to manage the class. Therefore discipline does not only manage the classroom it also help to a imbibe some level of dedication into the learners.

  2. Patient: patient is a critical thinking skill that helps the teacher to impart the student effectively. A lot of the learners are not at the same level of comprehension yes an effective teacher must be patient with all students so that they can comprehend and learn at their own pace why the teacher work to improve they are assimilation rate.

  3. Encouragement: a teacher must know how to encourage his or her learners, shouting or using harsh words on the learners we greatly discourage them. encouragement is a major teaching skill that many ignore yet it is vital to the development of the student. Encouragement my mean giving the student 1/2 Mark instead of zero once he or she makes a good attempt.

In conclusion, learning is key to teaching. Also dedication, hard work and effective communication skills are vital in becoming a good teacher.
