Thank you Marie Curie

Got the old mammogram this morning. Stopping to thank Marie Curie for her work with radium and radioactivity. Her work lead directly to the prevention possible through mammograms.

Also, coincidentally, currently listening to a book about Curie’s early life, A Mind of Her Own by Paula McLain on Audible. If you’re an audio book lover, science nerd or other right thinking individual, it’s worth a listen.
