*Red Giant

When most Main Sequence Stars used up all of their primary fuel they would turn into another type of star, which is the last phase of stellar evolution, called Red Giant. Due to the imbalance between inward pressure of gravity and outward pressure of fusion caused by scarcity of hydrogen fuel inside the core causing them to expand in size and becoming the Red Giant Stars.

Red Giant is a giant star as the name stated, even though it has a massive size its mass is roughly 0.3-8 the mass of our sun. Its surface temperature is about 5,000 K (8,540 °F or 4,726.85 °C) or lower and gradually drop to even lower temperature. Despite the surface temperature is about the same as our sun or lower Red Giant is still able to outshine our sun by a lot.

When Red Giant enter the final phase of its life, the star will ejects its outer layers particles and forming a planetary nebula leaving behind a White Dwarf. Alternatively if Red Giant is originated from more massive star, the final phase of the star's life will be the explosion of Supernova and eventually turn into Neutron Star or even Black Hole.
