Citizen Science: Project FeederWatch -- Count #03 Report w/Original Photos
Citizen science is a great way to involve children and adults in discovery and contribute to scientific research and conservation. Project FeederWatch through Cornell University is a great way to get involved in citizen science. You can learn more at the Project FeederWatch website.
I typically watch birds on Saturday and Sunday. This is my report for 24-25 November 2018.
The 2018-2019 season goes through 5 April 2019.
Weather

The morning started off sunny and progressively got cloudier during the day. The winds were light. Rain developed during the evening with 0.07 inches of precipitation.

Overnight snow brought about 0.5 inches of snow accumulation with 0.06 inches of precipitation. Strong winds with blowing snow during the day with overcast skies.

Squirrel
An animal, possibly a raccoon broke my bird feeder I was using for the peanuts. So I switched to a different style of bird feeder to hold the peanuts.
This squirrel got a big surprise when it climbed up the pole.
Nuts!!! Bird feeders full of peanuts but no way to access the peanuts for a squirrel.
But in the end it is alright. There are plenty of peanuts on the ground.

Downy Woodpecker
The Downy Woodpecker had no trouble accessing and eating the peanuts.

I have considered offering the pictures for sale on the commercial websites, but I must say that it is enough for me to post them on SteemIt and read the comments.
The images posted to SteemIt are not the high resolution images I have saved. If anyone wants those high resolution images, then I will sell those images.
