Muhadjir invites all elements of society, especially in the educational environment, to imitate the attitude of Ki Hadjar Dewantara. Hardiknas momentum is to do muhasabah, mesu mind or reflection on the efforts that we have strived for in education and culture.
Currently, Indonesia has three educational channels, namely formal, informal, and informal. The three educational paths are positioned on a par with Kemendikbud rules.
Communities are given the freedom to choose the path of education and the government gives great attention in improving the three educational paths.
Nevertheless, Muhadjir acknowledged, the current education in the country is still a lot of shortcomings. For that, he said, teachers, parents, students and the community should be a source of strength in improving the performance of education and culture to strengthen the character and literacy of Indonesian children.
Education centers should simultaneously become fertile ground where nursery religious values, honesty, hard work, mutual cooperation for the successors of sovereignty and the progress of the nation.
