Parallel Universes: Is it a possible reality?

in #science7 years ago (edited)

Parallel Universes A theory that is taking more and more force, due to its possibility, but ... Is it really possible?

The theory of the parallel universes is that there are infinitely many alternate realities of our world and our life, which are relatively independent. According to this theory, the universes branch out once there are two or more possibilities to any one event in life.

For example:

  • A reality where Hitler never existed.
  • Had World War II not occurred or if events occurred they would be totally different.
  • A reality where our technology is more advanced or primitive
  • Or where there was never the tsunami in Japan, to say the least.
  • Although you can also go to a more personal area, as in a reality where we died while in others we are still alive, but our lifestyle is different from other universes.

One of the most common concepts to explain the theory of parallel universes is:

"The paradox of Schrödinger's cat", is that a cat is placed in a box containing a bottle with a poisonous gas, where there is 50% of the cat alive Or not, but we can not know for sure the result until we open the box, in this paradox there are two parallel universes where the cat is alive since before the box is opened and another in which not, assuming that These two realities are just as real.

Black holes are theorized as the entrance to these parallel universes, because they produce a distortion in the universe, giving as an example a very powerful vacuum that is placed about 12 centimeters deep while the Mouth goes up in the middle of the sea, the water would be transported from the surface to the bottom creating a whirlpool ... But, to what place would the matter and the light that swallows a hole?

Parallel universes is one of the most controversial theories. It has been the inspiration of scholars, philosophers, and scientists since it has influenced them in a deeper investigation of this hypothesis, as it has inspired many series and films.

Take for example the movie Back to the Future (which is my favorite), where the protagonist travels to the past and when returning to his time, there have been changes in that reality.

Likewise, the famous The Twilight Zone, in its episode "The Parallel", tells us the story of an astronaut traveling to a universe where everything is very similar to his universe except some things Quite strange.

Another well-known and very popular series that explains well detailed the theory of the parallel universes is Rick and Morty, an animated series for adults where it narrates to us the adventures of a boy and his grandfather.

There is no doubt that this theory will give much to speak for longer, because because the universe is constantly expanding, the possibilities

Its definitely possible and is to some degree likely, but I believe it's a simulation we're living in.

How awesome would it be if we actually do have parallel universes :)

~mind boggling~

The terminology here is interesting, because astronomers have noticed a "cold spot" in our universe where they theorize another universe, on this same plane of existence, may have run into our own. It really comes down to semantics, but there may be both multiple universes traveling through our plane of existence, and parallel universes that contain different possibilities.

The existence of multiple universes is the most likely. The most accurate view of the universe is one where we assume we are not extraordinary. If our universe exists then the most likely scenario is that other universes exist. Whether they are in any way similar to our own is another question.
