⚡Electric Motor⚡ | electromechanical engineering
Electric motors are rotary machines. Which are commonly used to transform the electrical energy that is supplied to a mechanical energy, such as pumps, transmissions, bands, etc ...
It has very good advantages, the main ones are:
It is cheap in terms of equipment purchase.
💡 Dimensions.
💡 Cleaning as well as maintenance.
The operation basically is between forces of attraction and repulsion which are present with magnets and coils that are in the rotor as shown in the previous image where an electric current is circulated.
All electric motors are either alternating current or direct current, we could say that they work by electromagnetic induction, a magnetic field induces and in turn produces a rotating force by a conductor that carries electric current.
The electric motor is composed of 2 main parts:
🔌 Rotor> is the axis attached to the coils or also called windings and as the name indicates this tour.
🔌 Stator> in this part is where the electromagnet is located which produces the magnetic field and this one does not move is the fixed part.
