The earth will be a barren and arid planet (where are we?)

World population estimates from 1800 to 2100. Image source wikipedia

According to the latest population figures, the current population of Earth is about to touch the number of 7.5 billion
people, and according to the estimates the earth will be inhabited by about 9.7 billion people by 2050 (as a reminder of 9.7 billion population = 9,700,000,000 human beings who will inhabit the earth), what does that mean to you?

As we know that our planet is not developing, nor does it increase its magnitude, so if 5,000 years ago the earth had a mean radius of 6,371 km then today the earth still has the same mean radius.

Today we know that the earth has only 1/3 of a total land area, and will even continue to decline every day due to effects of global warming, consequently many of ice surfaces in the northern and southern hemispheres continue to melt and make sea levels rise.

We also know that the earth has a variety of natural resources, both renewable and non-renewable, all kinds of non-renewable natural resources will continue to diminish and eventually the earth will run out of all its non-renewable resources, such as petroleum, gold, natural gas and so forth.

Similarly, in agriculture, known or not, all forms of agricultural activity can actually reduce the process of soil fertility, decreased soil fertility actually refers to the farming patterns that we use, all forms of chemicals that serve to make healthy plants are very influential to make the land lose fertility, and several other factors.

imageGlobally, the earth has a significant shortage of clean water supply, the data says that more than 1/6 of the human population on the area is in a difficult area to find clean water.[image source]

In accordance with the calculations, humans need an average of 1,700 m3 of clean water per year which means if we do not get the average amount per year then we can say we have been affected by the lack of clean water globally.

The results also state that some countries with the highest human populations in the world are also experiencing serious problems with an availability of clean water. This has occurred in 2006 where 700 million people suffer from water stress (below 1,700 m3 per year) and some countries continue to experience increased water stress each year such as China, India and several other countries [source].

The density of the earth's population also affects many aspects, such as increased carbon emissions, if in 1960 you still can drive a car without fear of traffic jams, then in 2018 you can surely enjoy more traffic than enjoying the scenery along the way.

imageSimilarly in industry, today it is very easy to find large-scale factories in every city, which means that each factory produces different types of waste, such as carbon emissions, chemical wastes and so on.[image source]

From the description above is actually what concerns us?

A source mentions, 50,000 years BC, the earth is only inhabited by 2 humans only and we know who they are (still a debate among experts), human population continues to increase and in March 2012 the human population reached seven billion (data by the Census Bureau United States) and it is estimated that by 2050 the human population will reach 9.5 billion[source]

In the future, the earth will lose its resources, the land will be barren and clean water will be scarce, the air will become more contaminated and the earth will continue to lose its land, certainly, some cities in the world will sink and the earth will become a barren planet.

Why is that?

Increasing human populations equals increasing consumption needs (food and water resources), meaning we will increasingly compete to meet those needs.

Increasing human population is influenced by various factors such as, custom, culture "many children, many fortune", religion, and other factors, one of the dominant factors to growing human population is the rapid progress of the medical field.

If in the 1700s, mothers giving birth were usually assisted by traditional workers who were deemed capable by local residents with simple equipment, but what happened was that many mothers and babies had to die, this was due to a lack of medical knowledge. But with the increasingly advanced knowledge of medicine, more mothers and babies are saved, we should be proud of the progress because we are one of the successes of the medical world.

Some government regulations are also underway to suppress population growth, the regulation was once strictly enforced by the Chinese government, China has ever made a rule every family should only have one child, but by 2015 the rule is changed, now every family in China can have children maximum 2, confirmed in 2016 the birth rate rose up to 7.9% from a year earlier[source].

In Indonesia. the government continues to promote family planning program, that every family should have two children only, the campaign is still ongoing even though the majority of Indonesia's population does not heed it.

Can a country make strict rules on the birth rate?

In fact, there is no special prohibition if a country to enact the strict regulation of birthrate, China stipulates that the regulation may only have one child in each family beginning in the late 1970s, and to impose penalties on those who violate it[source].

From the results of the survey and research, finally the Chinese government in 2015 revoked the regulation and began to impose a maximum of 2 children, the Chinese government worried because the birth rate is not comparable with the needs of workers, it is certain that the population of elderly china will increase and make them no longer productive.

While in some developed countries the birth rate is difficult to improve, it is not surprising because the majority of the country's population is a career woman who does not have time to take care of the baby or just give birth. As a result, the developed countries will be short of productive forces in the future.

Compel = violates human rights

I do not want to polemize here, I will only submit the terms to the country concerned because only that country can determine what they should choose for their future, so it's not me who determines it :)

Is there another way to save the earth, as well as to suppress population numbers?

Of course, there is, henceforth you and I should save using water, preferably using mass transportation, do not be too consumptive and always use environmentally friendly materials. Actually, we only gain time, but it's better than nothing.

Looks like war can also be a solution to suppress population numbers?

I'M SURE YOU'RE DRUNK OR IT COULD BE YOUR HEAD HIT, JUST BEFORE YOU READ THIS POST

CONCLUSION

We can not avoid an increase in the human population that continues to grow every year, meaning that more and more people then the more food, drinks and other needs that must be provided.

If we still do not care about the current condition of the earth then we can be sure the earth will become barren and full of waste in the near future.

All we have to do now is, care about the earth, trying to change the pattern of life better and always use environmentally friendly materials :)

" THE EARTH BELONGS TO OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN, NOT OURS "
