Today, lets discuss one of the most disgusting insects on the planet, cockroaches.
They are almost thumbsize crawling, darkish brown, six-legged, sometimes flying arthropods. A characteristics of theirs that makes them even more creepy is their nocturnal nature.

People usually run-away at the sight of this insect. Sometimes one wonders if the cockroaches are on top of the food chain and could eat sleeping humans. They look scary and are now considered to be of grave medical importance.
Cockroaches are suckers for glutony. They would devour any substance that taste or smells like food even if it isn't food, they are also fond of feeding on other dead animals, plants, and insects(not excluding thier own brethen), Clothes, shoes, furniture, and even your fancy Brazilian or Malaysian hair is not left out of the menu.

Cockroaches have been acknowledged for their savage filthiness, but unrecognized for their supplememntary role in epidemology of certain diseases. Although, Cockroaches haven't really been linked to disease outbreak, there have been speculations.
Countries with generally poor environmental management schemes are victims of cockroach infestation. Cockroaches could be found in drainages, sewer, kitchen cupboard, bedrooms, in furniture and clothing.

Where warmth, dirt and a steady supply of food is present, cockroaches are there in their midst. Cockroach guy(2018)

Like a bus, cockroaches transport parasites from one stop to the next. The first pick-up is non other than the sewe or a waste bin. Next, the parasites which are the passengers are then transported to the next busstop - your food. Thats right, cockroaches love nothing more than spreading its spiky legs to the comfty of your left over food without been noticed. They are assasins, and go unnoticed. Along the way to your food, they must have made a few stops on kitchen utensils, furniture etc, contaminating them too.

Several studies have discovered that cockroaches do harbour parasites of medical importance. Most of these studies all identified a similar flora of parasites(excluding bacteria). They are called Worms. No, not earthworms- tapeworms.
Tapeworms are worms or wormlike creatures that inhabit mostly the digestive tracts of animals and humans. However infections could be of any other organ in an animal. They cause a plethora of symptoms and diseases ranging from acute symptoms like hunger, stomach aches, body temperature et cetera to chronic symptoms like diarrhoea, dysentry, typhiod and other killer disease.

In a case of a global natural disaster, i fear cockroaches would play a significant role in wiping out the human race. An apocalyptic event would cripple all sectors of the economy including the medical sectors. The absence of medical personnel and shortage of medical supplies would consequently result in the proliferation of diseased persons. Obviously this conditions would favor the cockroaches, they would be a cancerous increase in cockroach population. Being notorious tourists, cockroaches wouldn't shy away from visiting every displacement camps they can find. They would hunt man no matter where he goes and live trails of parasites and diseases on the way. Cockroaches could end the human race. They should be acknowledged for their apocalyptic potential. Could the writer of the book of revelations have meant cockroaches and not grasshoppers?
Only time would tell.

It is adviced that people(most especially in developing countries) should maintain optimum sanitary habits. If you didn't know, well now you do.
