Scientists close to CREATE Blood / Científicos cerca de CREAR Sangre
A group of scientists from Boston's Children Hospital has showed that it is possible to create blood from stem cells. It means that blood donors may no longer be needed in the future.

According to Dr. Ryohichi Sugimura:
'This step opens up an huge opportunity to take cells from patients with genetic blood disorders, use gene editing to correct their genetic defect and make functional blood cells.'
