Neutron Star Collision Happens, LIGO Detects Collisions

in #science7 years ago

In the past, astronomers announced that they had seen and heard a pair of dead stars collide. The collision is known as kilonova. It shook the galaxy where it happened 130 million light years from here in the southern constellation of Hydra, and sends fireworks across the universe.

This event holds the sensation of space in space and earth, and produces a loud chirp on the antenna designed to study ripples on the cosmic. This sends astronomers trampled onto their telescopes. In the hope of answering one of the mysteries of the universe that has long been sought.

In concluding this, astronomers argue that it has created a cloud of gold dust that is larger than the earth. It was revealed by Vicky Kalegora, he is an astronomer at Northwestern University. He was one of the thousands of astronomers who reported the results at that time.

Some studied the results of the explosion. They concluded, that it has created many clouds of gold dust that is much larger than the earth. It confirmed kilonova as an ancient cosmic alchemical agent. For the researchers, it is bigger than the original invention.

They have found many things that astronomers have searched for. Many of LIGO's previous inventions have collided with black holes comprising an empty space-time. So smooth, so it can not be seen with eyes or telescopes. But when the neutron stars bump together, what happens? All kinds of objects in the sky explode, x rays, gamma rays, radio waves. Everyone can watch in the sky window.

The gravity signal was named GW170817. Pertama kali dideteksi pada tanggal 17 Agustus 2017, tepat pukul 8.41 morning east time, and performed with two identical LIGO dedics, located in Handford, Washington, and Livingstone, Louisiana. Then the third information by the Virgo detector located near Pisa, Italy, enables improvements in localizing cosmic events.

The first detected electromagnetic signal is GRB 170817A, short gamma ray burst detected 1.74 ± 0.05 s after the merger time and lasts for about 2 seconds. GRB 170817A was discovered by the Fermi gamma ray telescope, with automatic warnings issued just 14 seconds after GRB detection.

Neutron star or dead stars are the gigantic, crumbling massive cores of stars that have exploded in supernovae. The size can be heavier than the Sun and is only 20 kilometers away from each other. []
