The Chinese break the distance record of Einstein's 'spooky action at a distance' with their Quantum Satellite.

For those of you not familiar with Einstein's spooky action, this is a reference to the predictions of quantum mechanics in 1935, particularly quantum entanglement. Quantum entanglement in laymen terms are particles entangled, or paired, that change based on it's counterparts action. This action can take place at any distance and is immediate, enabling faster than light communication. Records Broken

Previously, quantum entanglement would be tested at short distances, such as a few feet, and prior to today, this interesting feat was accomplished by entangling particles and shipping the counterpart particle out less than 100 miles in order to witness the transitions. The Chinese decided to elevate the experiment sending entangled particles on a satellite more than 600+ miles (over 1000 km) into space, breaking previous distance records for instant communication.
