Saturn and it’s moon Prometheus
Prometheus is an interesting moon, luckily we have pictures
This picture was taken by the Cassini spacecraft. The small white blog near the middle-top is Prometheus. Most of the moon is covered in shadows due to the viewing angle of this photograph. This photograph shows the rings at a 13 degree angle above the plane of the side facing the sun. Another thing to notice is the difference in brightness between the outer A ring and the rest of the rings. [1]
The ring on the outside is the F ring. Prometheus is the “shepherd” of the F ring. The actions of the moon cause many different occurrences, including stream channels. Clumps of particles tend to form at the edges of these channels. This leads to objects being created inside the center of this ring. They have become a main feature in the ring, making it one of the most complex.
