WHEN TEARS AMOUNTS TO WORSHIP
During the worship session today, many did prostrate, some knelt, others waved hands while others simply shed tears/. This sparked a question in my heart: Why do people really cry during worship sessions? Just then, I remembered my one-time best song writer and artist - Kirk Franklin.
He presented this song in 1993:
For some that don't understand our purpose
And may not understand our praise
We as the family in Jesus name
Would like to tell you the reason why we sing
Family
Someone asked a question
Why do we sing
When we lift our hands to Jesus
What do we really mean
Someone made we wonder
When we sing our song
At times we may be cryin'
And nothings even wrong
I sing because I'm happy
I sing because I'm free
His eyes are the sparrow
That's the reason why I sing
Glory Hallelujah
Your the reason why I sing
Glory Hallelujah
I give the praises to you
Glory Hallelujah
Your the reason why I sing
And when the song is over
We've all said Amen
And your heart just keep on singing
And the song will never end
And if somebody ask you
was it just a show
Lift your and a be a witness
And tell the whole the whole world no
And when we cross that river
To study war no more
We will sing our song to Jesus
The one whom we adore
I sing because I'm happy
I sing because I'm free
His eyes are the sparrow
That's the reason why I sing
Glory Hallelujah
Your the reason why I sing
Glory Hallelujah
Your the reason why I sing
Glory Hallelujah
Your the reason why I sing
Glory Hallelujah
I give the praises to you
Glory Hallelujah
Your the reason why I sing
Your the reason why I sing
Your the reason why I sing
Your the reason why I sing
Your the reason why I sing
Your the reason why I sing
Oh I love you
I love your name Jesus
Glory Hallelujah
For the rest of my life Jesus
You'll be the reason why I sing
While pondering on the lyrics of the song, I reached a conclusion that many people have their distinct reasons they cry. Some because others cry. Some cry because the Holy Spirit convicted their heart. Others cry because they are awed at the awesomeness of God in splendor, glory and power. There are some who cry because they've enjoyed so much of God. others cry because their hearts tremble at God's words. Whatever be the reasons worshipers cry of the above listed, they are good except the first reason.
This inspires one to think that tears are a form of worship. I remembered a woman in the Bible named Mary Magdalene. @scripture-union featured her life of devotion on #dailyguide - April 2, 2018
Mary was featured as a disciple of Christ who shew a great devotion to Christ. Even when other disciples had displayed nonchalant attitudes, her love for her master- Jesus Christ won't let her rest until she finds her Lord thought dead and buried. This same woman is she who poured her expensive box of alabastar ointment on the feet of Jesus Christ after washing his feet with tears.
To me, the acts of Mary Magdalene was a pouring of her life at the feet of the master. The tears meant more than mere water from the eyes. She poured her pains, wasted years, hurts, hates at the feet of the master. No wonder she so loved him even when Christ had died.
Why do I put this up? Am looking at the dimensions where @teardrops can gain value as @surpassinggoogle proposes.
When you see tears from people's eyes, don't be in a hurry to judge. Tears mean more than we see them. If you've got to cry, don't take it back. Cry it out and let your heart be at peace.
God bless you.

Granted, cry is mystery. There are tears of joy, conviction, worship and many more...Crying is also therapeutic; it is a way of pouring out bitterness from the heart...long sessions of weeping can often make you feel much better, even though the circumstances may not have changed one bit. Remain blessed @uyobong.
