Hi there! I'm Kit Perez, a privacy/liberty activist and part of the Three Percent.
Hi Steemers! I recently found Steem from a Facebook post by a sovereign whose posts I follow, and I'm really intrigued by the concept--not just because this is such a fantastic application for the blockchain but because it seems to be a place made for activists. I'm glad to be here.
As for me, I'm a privacy and liberty activist, and I write at a few different places. I have a Bachelors in Counterintelligence, and am about to finish a master's in Intelligence with a focus on Human Intelligence (HUMINT). I'm a Three Percenter (III%), and I am one of the founders of Order of the White Rose, a group that sponsors and teaches classes on everything from digital security for beginners to communications during a grid down scenario, to deception detection, intelligence and more, as well as advocating resistance against the surveillance state and tyranny in general. I want to see people educate themselves, and empower themselves to live free and be willing to stand up to those who would control us, lie to us, and tell us what we can do and think and buy. I want to see us make it difficult for them to spy on us. I want to see people willing to learn more, be more, and do more to protect themselves and their data. I'm not a liberal Democrat, I'm not a Republican. I simply believe in liberty, in the right to survive, to live free, and to defend that life and freedom.
Thanks for your time. I look forward to meeting more of you and contributing to the community.
Welcome. Followed. ;)
Well, thank YOU. Followed back...you have some interesting stuff going on. Did you ever get a solid answer about whether it's okay to cross-post things you've written in other places?
I can answer this. It's fine as long as you verify that you published them - so you could do a post on the other website linking to your Steemit account as verification and then put the link to that post at the end of your Steemit post. As long as you are upfront about it and provide verification like that then nobody minds. People are concerned about plagiarism so that is the reason why.
oh, awesome! Thank you. :)
Welcome to Steemit. I think you will fit right in:)
