Some of you have already posted entries which will be reviewed by me today to let you know if you qualify. It seems to be a confusion about what the contest is about, so I'm going to write every detail down for you and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

In this collaboration we aim to achieve the following:

  • garner friendship between communities
  • motivate more participants to join through combined promotion by both contest / challenge
  • create a greater impact through a combined effort

CONTEST GOALS:

  • encourage photographers to be more elaborate on their posts
  • encourage exploration & appreciation of simple things or views around us

CONTEST DEADLINE
All entries will be due on the 03 August 2018 @ 3AM UTC

The announcement of Winners will be posted on the 4th of August 2018. This is to have enough time to cast the vote for the winning entries and also enough time for us to decide for the winning entrants.

CONTEST RULES:

  • no plagiarism
  • provide meaningful writing about the photo (valuable story & description, photography style & tools)
  • minimum of 100 words

SevenDaysOutside has a category for each day.
These are the days and the categories:
#WindowMonday – Windows
#DoorTuesday – Doors
#RustArtWednesday – Rust
#GateThursday – Gates
#StatueFriday – Statues
#BrickSaturday – Bricks (bricks only, no pavement elements or cobblestones please)
#StreetlampSunday – Street Lamps

However, because this contest is not for the whole week, you can post any of these categories on any day and there is no limit to entries, you can post as many as you think it is appropriate. Please keep in mind that #sevendaysoutside does not mean you can post anything! You can only post windows, doors, rusty things, gates, statues, bricks and street lamps, all outside!

You must use both tags #pc-explore and #sevendaysoutside together.

You can post a link with your entry to @photocircle's announcement post HERE if you please, if not, we're going to find you checking the contest's official tags ( #pc-explore and #sevendaysoutside).

Hello @erikah,
Here's my entry for the category Windows.

Ok, we talked about it, this does not qualify. I told you why.

Oh, it started already?!?! I thought it started in August 1st :(

Still plenty of time to join :)

Thanks @erikah, @photocircle by making steemit a more creative space... Always inventing good stuffs :-D
"encourage photographers to be more elaborate on their posts": I think this concept is the most important deal, not only to this iniciative, but to the steemit community in general...

Very good explanation, even to us, spanish-minnows hehehe

You're welcome, we are glad you like it :)

Quick question, for something like doors, does it the whole door have to be in the image? For example, what if I only got the shadow of the door (or gate) or a close up of a really unique handle? Thanks for organizing/sponsoring this contest!

A door is a door, a handle is a handle not a door and a shadow is not a door either, just the shadow of the door. Long story short, yes, the whole door has to be visible and has to be an outside door, a photo taken from outside.
If you like, you can post a close up photo of the handle. More. Make sure the door is shut or max half open, so people don't see just a doorframe.
These themes were chosen for a reason, to admire beautiful doors, windows etc.

Aqui tienes mi entrada para la categoria Windows Monday
Espero que sea válida!
