Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 18 Review and Tips-3 week outlook, one's to watch and captain picks!
Getting closer and closer to Christmas now and it's quite unbelievable what Manchester City have managed to accomplish. Pep's men have now won a record 15 straight victories and i shudder to think, if this continues, what other records they might break. Unless Spurs can produce something really special this weekend and offset the cruising City ship, this league title will be over by January!
Gameweek 18 promises goals as this is the 3rd gameweek in the space of 7 days! Managers are bound to keep rotating players to try and keep them fresh for the key Christmas period.
Let's get into the detail below!
3 Week Outlook
Manchester City- City are looking like champions already, winning the last 15 games straight. They've come up against the big teams and still proved their superiority. Confidence is high and with Spurs(home), Bournemouth(home) and Newcastle(away). City will surely grab points galore in the next 3.
West Ham - The Hammers showed 2 superbly positive performances in the last 2 grabbing 4 points against high flying Chelsea and Arsenal. With confidence on the up and Stoke, Newcastle and Bournemouth in the next 3, David Moyes would surely like to carry on the impressive displays of late.
One's to Watch
Riyad Mahrez- Other than City, Leicester have been the team in the best form of late, winning 4 in row! Riyad Mahrez has been influential in the results with 3 goals and 1 assist in the last 4. He has shown the title winning form of late and he could be a key differential in your team.
Jordan Pickford- one things for sure, under big Sam, cleansheets are bound to come Everton's way. With their recent impressive form under Big Sam, Jordan Pickford could like produce clean sheets and saves. Keep an eye on him.
Wayne Rooney- the English veteran has seem to have hit good form of late scoring 5 and assisting 1 in the last 4. Captaining the team and on Penalties, costing a mere 7.4M, Rooney could prove to be a super bargain in the next coming weeks.
Captian Picks
Eden Hazard- not assisting or scoring in the last 2, Hazard is bound to do something this gameweek. It's not often he goes 3 gameweeks without contribution.
Wayne Rooney- The Swans have been struggling of late and Rooney has been in sublime form. If Everton have a good day, he could find himself on the scoresheet yet again.
Riyad Mahrez- Mentioned before, Leicester and Riyad have been in superb form of late and this could prove to be too much for Palace, who are struggling to convert draws into wins. Confidence is high and Mahrez could be influential again this weekend.
