Steem Fantasy Premier League Preview & Match Prediction - Gameweek 1
Matchweek 1 Preview
The waiting has been long, but finally, it's here. I have decided to take a look at three teams which I personally think will win their matches this week, and what players I see value in.
Manchester City:
Having spent more money than 47 nations on their defense, they surely have to be one of the favorites of winning the Premier League this season. Ederson, Walker and Danilo all likely to start against Brighton. I would like to shine some light on Danilo. Guardiola has been using 3-5-2 in the preseason games and is likely to do against Brighton. Danilo is very likely to start on the left wing back as he has been the last couple of matches. Danilo is priced at 5,5m £. That price for a starter for Manchester City against a newly promoted team looks like a solid buy. Guardiola is known for his offensive possession style, and we might see Danilo and Walker take part in many attacks. Another one who is a certain starter is Kevin de Bruyne. 18 assist and 6 goals last season shows what he is capable of. Priced at 10.5m £ he is a bit expensive, but with Manchester Citys current offense I think he can do it again. Other than taking the set pieces I think he will also play a more offensive role than last year. Kevin de Bruyne is a world class player, and he becomes even better with Gabriel Jesus and Agüero on top. Gabriel Jesus? will he start or will he not. I believe he will. If that's the case I believe that 10.5m £ is a good price. We are talking about the greatest offense in the Premier League that's playing Brighton, in their first game in the Premier League.
Arsenal
Sanchez is injured, Özil is in doubt, Ramsey is in doubt, and Koscielny is banned. Normally four starters, but against Leicester they should be fine. Or not? Arsenal has only won one of the opening matches the last seven years. I am going against the statistics and say they will win. Arsenal looked good against Chelsea, and even with injuries and suspensions, they should be able to win here. I would like to promote two players. Kolasniac. Sead Kolasniac has been signed on a free transfer from Schalke 04. He was on the "Team of the Year" in the Bundesliga, and is very likely to start against Leicester. Probably on the left wing back. If not, he might be a part of the three man defense. He scored against Chelsea showing that he is also capable of that, other than just assisting as he did last year in Schalke. He is priced at 6m £, which could turn out to be a good investment. Chamberlain is the second one I would like to promote. Chamberlain has looked on fire in the preseason, but he does that every year. He started against Chelsea and looked great. He is valued at 6m £ which is very cheap if he is a starter. There is a chance he might not start if Arsene chooses to start with Kolasniac on the left wing back and Bellerin on the other. We will see.
Manchester United
Mourinho has invested in his squad, and he has invested where he needed to invest. Lukaku is looking like the perfect replacement for Zlatan. He has shown that in the pre season matches. Latest where he scored against Real Madrid in the Super Cup. He should have scored two though. Lukaku is priced at 11.5m £ which is a lot but is a lot if he scores at least 25 goals. I don't think so. Manchester is playing home against West Ham. A must win, even though West Ham have spent their time on the transfer market very well. I believe Lukaku will have huge success and the success will already start on Monday with at least one goal. A player I am looking forward to seeing this season is Mkhitaryan. 4 goals and 1 assist is what he was capable of doing last season. He will no doubt beat that. By a lot. He has been on fire during pre season, and I believe he continues that. I predict him to start on the left wing against West Ham, and I wouldn't be surprised if he scored a goal. For only 8.0m £ I think he is a scoop. Watch out for him this season.
The High Risk Investments
Tom Ince &/or Steve Mounie from Hudderfield could perform very well. If they simply continue doing what they have done in the pre season, Hudderfield should be fine. At least 50 % of Hudderfield goals have been scored by these two players in pre season. Playing against Palace away, they of course are a bit of a gamble. They are both valued at 6.0m £.
Tammy Abraham is another great player. It's still not certain if he will be ready for the opening game, but if he does, he might be great player to have. He showed last season what he is capable of. Bristols player of the year, young player of the year and scoring 23 goals last season. This guy is a beast. The negative side is that he plays for Swansea against Southampton away. Also a gamble.
Batshuayi. The problem with him is that it's very uncertain whether he will start or not. He did start against Arsenal, but he didn't play well. If he starts, he will be great to have. He showed in pre season how dangerous he is. Three goals in four matches. He is a bit expensive compared to the fact that he is a gamble. Batshuayi is priced at 8.5m £.

These are just my thoughts on the players and teams. I take no responsibility in you following my suggestions.
The Matchweek prediction game
As the Premier League is long we have decided to create a match week game, to add some extra fun every match week. Of course with the possibility of winning some SBD.
The Matchweek game is simple. For all the matches you will have to predict the outcome. For example:
Arsenal - Leicester
1- Arsenal will win
X - Draw
2 - Leicester will win.
The best three will win. The rewards will be paid in SBD. 50% of the SBD will go towards the winners and the remaining 50% will be added to the SFPL prize pool.
Without further a do, let the game begin!
Simply copy/paste the fixtures and add your predictions in the comment section. I will copy all entries into one comment 10 minutes before the game starts to prevent ninja edits, remember though that every change is saved onto the blockchain.
Arsenal - Leicester
Watford - Liverpool
Chelsea - Burnley
Crystal Palace - Huddersfield
Everton - Stoke
Southampton - Swansea
West Brom - Bournemouth
Brighton - Man City
Newcastle - Spurs
Man Utd - West Ham
Entries are now closed.

(Self-voted comment for visibility will remove later!)
Would be happy to get anything lolol..
48 prizes and is it 52 entrants? Odds are looking good to me!
Looking at the FPL group, i think there are about 60 entrants. Still great odds. :)
Yes for sure! Consider a few dropouts and so anyone still managing their team at the end of the season should get a prize!
